FIVE 2014
Multi-media
200cm x 200cm x 90cm
FIVE grew from experiments with the interaction of silicon sacs and breath, as well as through the bringing together of video and sculpture. FIVE is intentionally ambiguous in its manifestation; it is difficult to tell exactly what one is seeing when peering into each of the five pipes.
The breathing action is regulated by the artist's own breath – resulting in marked “behaviours” in each of the five vessels' actions.
Images and footage by Jem Selig Freeman and the artist.
