A sealed tube hangs suspended in a tank of water, jointed stainless steel arms reaching out to the tank's sides. A motor-driven pump gently pushes water in and out of this tube, altering the ratio of air and water within. These variations constantly vary the tube's buoyancy, causing it to rise and fall in the water.
